Sports Premium Funding
At 麻豆社 School we believe PE and sport plays an important role in the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of our pupils.
Sports Premium is used to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport we offer. We are committed to using this resource to deliver high quality PE lessons and to ensure progressive and appropriate sporting and enrichment opportunities. This will not only optimise pupil outcomes but will positively contribute to the physical and emotional development of our pupils.
Sport Premium Grant
Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6. In cases where schools don鈥檛 follow year groups (for example, in some special schools), pupils aged 5 to 10 attract the funding.
Aims of use:
Schools should prioritise Primary PE and sport premium spending to make improvements in the following five key areas:
- Increase confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport
- Increase engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity and sport
- The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement
- Broader and more equal experience of a range of sports and physical activities offered to all pupils
- Increased participation in competitive sport.
We are delighted to announce that we, 麻豆社 School, have achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport. As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
A special thank you to the PE department and all other staff that run clubs and take students to sporting events for their commitment to providing an outstanding extra-curricular provision to enrich pupil鈥檚 experience in PE at 麻豆社.
